How To Add Google Analytics To Blogger

 

Google Analytics is the most popular and in-dept service for tracking your blogs stats.Google Analytics is available for all blog platforms and websites but as it is a Google service like Blogger it's extra easy for Blogger users.In fact Analytics is built into all Blogger blogs you just need to add your Analytics Web Property ID via the blogs settings.

In this post I will show you how to set up your analytics account and connect it to your blog.

Finding Your Property ID

1. First you will need an Analytics account from which to access the stats this can be connected to your Gmail account you use on Blogger.Follow this link to Google Analytics if you don't yet have an account : Google Analytics

2. Once you have your account you must locate your Property ID.

To do this Choose Admin in the settings at the top of the page then under Property choose Tracking Info.You can get more information on Finding your property ID here.

Your Property ID will be letters and numbers something like this : UA-000000-01

Adding Your Property ID To Blogger

Now that you have your Property ID it's time to add it to your blog so Google Analytics can start tracking your blog.

1. In Your Blogs Settings choose Other then scroll to the foot of the page to find the Analytics section.

Once you add the Property ID make sure to save the settings in the top right of the page.With the settings saved your ready to go.It can take up to 24 hours for the first stats to show up.
